Bahraini Gold
This is what we sell at FLORET: the Bahraini school. Precise hand piercing opens spaces within the piece so it gains a generous presence at a lighter weight, a polished solder at the closure until it disappears, and an even thickness from one end of the band to the other.
“Bahraini” describes the craft, not the karat — the karat is separate and hallmarked on the piece itself (875 for 21K, 750 for 18K). You can read both on every page here before you ask.
Pieces in this category change constantly and we don't show them all online. Message us and we'll reply with photos of what's available, with weight, karat and price — and no payment until you confirm the piece.
Questions about Bahraini Gold
Is Bahraini gold a different karat?
No. The term refers to the style of craftsmanship; the karat is separate and hallmarked on the piece, and you will find it written with the weight on every item.
How can I recognise Bahraini work by hand?
Three things: run your finger over the closure and you will not feel a solder edge, look for an even thickness along the whole band, and lift the piece — it looks larger than its weight because of the piercing.
Does a lower weight mean lower value?
Value lies in weight and karat together, and the price is built on both. Piercing gives you a larger look at a lower weight — a choice of appearance and comfort, not a loss of value.
